Remember These Deadlines When Applying to APU

Undergraduate Students Applying for Fall Semester
- October 1 - FAFSA begins accepting applications for financial aid
- November 15 - Early Action Application Deadline
- February 15 - Regular Decision Deadline
- March 2 - FAFSA Priority Deadline; Cal Grant Final Deadline (for California residents)
- May 1 - Enrollment Deposits Due - National Candidates Reply Date
- July 1 - Final Application Deadline (transfers and freshmen)
Undergraduate Students Applying for Spring Semester
- October 1 - FAFSA begins accepting applications for financial aid
- October 15 - Priority Application Deadline (recommended)
- December 1 - Final Deadline
Things to Note
What is an early action application? It’s a convenient application that allows students interested in attending APU to apply early and get accepted early. This can be as soon as three months after the Early Application deadline. Choosing this application gives students additional time to weigh their options and, combined with completing the FAFSA early, allows you to look into the best possible financial aid packages sooner.
Another important piece of information to remember this year is that FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) applications can now be submitted as early as October 1 instead of January 1. The priority deadline to submit the FAFSA is March 2. If you are a California resident, this is the final deadline to submit the FAFSA and GPA verification form to apply for the Cal Grant. Also, don’t forget to turn in your enrollment deposits on time! Enrollment deposits can be made—and are fully refundable—up to May 1. Enrollment deposits may be accepted after May 1 if space is still available.
