APU’s Art Galleries Showcase Students’, Alumni’s, and LA Artists’ Beautiful Work

As I walked through the Duke and Darling buildings on West Campus on my way to a class last semester, an interesting sight stopped me in my tracks. Across the typically blank walls were multiple images I had never seen before—vibrant depictions of outer space, ancient Greece, and the ocean to name a few.

Beside each picture was a QR code containing the link to a unique song that stirred the artist, Riley Sumaquial’s ’24, vision. I appreciate gleaning insight from Sumquial’s immensely talented synesthetic mind.

Renewable Talent-Based Scholarship

The School of the Arts invites incoming undergraduate students in Art to apply for our renewable talent-based scholarship, which supports your educational journey and can be combined with other merit and need-based aid.

The School of the Arts Art Scholarship is a talent-based scholarship available to select incoming undergraduate students enrolled in the:

This talent-based scholarship is renewable up to eight semesters and can be awarded in addition to any other academic merit scholarships and need-based aid.

Priority Deadlines

Fall 2024 Applicants

February 15, 2024, is the priority deadline for the Fall 2024 Art Scholarship Application. Students must complete their APU Undergraduate Application by the deadline to ensure consideration.

Spring 2025 Applicants

December 1, 2024, is the priority deadline for the Spring 2024 Art Scholarship Application. Students must complete their APU Undergraduate Application by the deadline to ensure consideration.
