Michelle comes to the Department of Social Work with more than 10 years of APU experience, previously supporting various senior administrators. Her years of experience as an executive assistant, as well as her business administration background, bring solid staff support to the faculty and students of our undergraduate and Inland Empire MSW programs. Michelle’s top five strengths are discipline, maximizer, responsibility, communication, and strategic.

Steffani A. Platt brings a unique blend of expertise in education and marketing to
her role as program coordinator. Her career encompasses comprehensive administration,
strategic marketing, and high-level management, as well as advocacy for K-12 neurodiverse
students in special education. With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Steffani
effectively oversees operations that foster productivity and excellence.
Steffani deeply values the opportunity to work in a Christ-centered environment such
as APU, where her faith is the foundation for her dedication to servant leadership.
She is committed to building meaningful relationships with students, faculty, staff,
and community partners, creating a positive, supportive environment for all to thrive.
A Southern California native, Steffani lives locally with her husband, an APU alumnus;
their two children, one of whom is an APU student; and their three dogs.
