Director of Campus Life
Alex is the director of campus life in the Office of Campus Life. Alex graduated from UCSD with a BS in Management Science to pursue a career in business, but God had something else for him. His active involvement in student leadership roles at UCSD led him to pursue his master’s in college counseling and student development at Azusa Pacific University, and has served in higher education field for the past 10 years. Alex spent a majority of his professional career in residence life as an assistant residence director, residence director, and associate director of residence life before beginning his current role in 2016. Alex is married to Hanna, and has two kids, Lucy and Luke. He enjoys good conversations over coffee, listening to music, and a good game of Settlers of Catan with friends.
Sydney Schneider, MS
Associate Director of Campus Life
Sydney was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She earned a BS in Psychology from Biola University and most recently graduated from APU with an MS in College Counseling and Student Development. Sydney found her love for student affairs while serving as a resident advisor during her time as an undergraduate student, and deepened this passion while serving in campus life and student wellness during her graduate studies. Her free time is spent with her husband Kody and their son Peyton, watching movies, drinking coffee, and finding new books to read.
Julianna Rodriguez, MS ’24
Program Specialist for Campus Life
Julianna began her undergraduate journey at Fullerton College where she transferred to Chico State and received her BA in Psychology. Julianna will graduate in May 2024 with a Master of Science in College Counseling and Student Development. Julianna discovered the field of student affairs in her undergraduate journey by becoming involved on campus and working as an academic advisor. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, playing with her dog Benji, and watching Gilmore Girls.
