Location
University PromenadeInstituted in 1999, psychological assessment services focus on providing psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessment services to the communities surrounding Azusa Pacific University. The clinic provides comprehensive, individualized assessment for clients of all ages. Assessments provided at the CCC range from brief to in-depth, depending on the needs of the client or referring agency. Each battery and report is carefully selected to answer the referral question as well as provide appropriate recommendations for the client to pursue.
Psychological assessment services are supervised by the director of clinical training from the Department of Clinical Psychology. Assessments are offered for the following clinical issues:
- ADHD spectrum
- Cognitive abilities
- Coping skills
- Developmental disabilities
- Learning disabilities
- Personality evaluation
- Pervasive developmental delays
- School readiness
- Social skills assessment
- IQ tests
With each evaluation, a client interview is conducted to determine the client’s needs and expectations. A battery of tests is then administered to explore the client’s strengths and to identify areas of challenge. A written report provides recommendations to pursue individually or with a specialist. The report is followed by a feedback session with the testing therapist to answer questions or address concerns.
Assessment fees vary from $250-$500 depending on the purpose of testing, and clients are informed of all costs prior to testing. For more information, call (626) 815-5421.
