Angela George, PhD, is associate professor of Art History in the Department of Art and the director of the Master of Arts program in Modern and Contemporary Art History. She earned a PhD in Art History from the University of Maryland, and her research focuses on American art, modern art, museum studies, and design history. She has held positions in the curatorial departments of a number of museums, including the National Gallery of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hillwood Museum & Gardens, and the Gamble House/USC.
