Friary Nguyen, MSN, RN, CNE, CHSE is an instructor in the traditional undergraduate program at Azusa Pacific University, Azusa campus, and a member of the SON simulation team.
Her first degree was a BA in Secondary Education with a focus in Life Sciences from St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas. After discerning her vocation, she returned to her family in Denver, Colorado and pursued a career in nursing through the BSN accelerated program at Regis University. As a nurse, she cared for the elderly poor with the Little Sisters of the Poor while pursuing her MSN in Leadership and Education at Regis University.
Friary began teaching nursing as an instructor in an ADN program and LPN program at Concorde Career College. She advanced to the role of Associate Director after two years and continued her lifelong learning process with becoming certified as a nurse educator (CNE) and a certified healthcare simulations educator (CHSE). Friary is committed to serving God through simple acts of kindness to all she meets on this journey of life.
