Lina Badr, PhD, PNP, FAAN, began her teaching career in 1974 and taught in Lebanon, in Boston (Curry College and University of Mass for six years), and in Los Angeles (at UCLA for 16 years as the director of the PNP program and as faculty for 14 years in the PhD program at Azusa Pacific University). She is an emerita professor at the University of California in Los Angeles. Her expertise is in teaching Advanced Pediatric Nursing and Research Methods and designs.
Her program of research is related to high risk infants, chronic illnesses, and neurodevelopment. Her focus is on intervention and long term follow-up. She has received several NIH grants related to her area of research and has published over 65 articles in peer reviewed journals.
Badr has consulted in Several Middle-Eastern countries such as Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain where new schools of nursing and programs were being established.
