Mauricio A. Martinez, PhD, is committed to helping students grow academically and professionally through meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge with real-world application. He values building strong relationships with students, colleagues, and community partners, emphasizing collaboration as an important part of long-term success. His teaching approach includes interactive lecturing, intentional mentorship, and preparing students for future careers in health, fitness, and clinical settings.
Martinez brings a strong research background through his experience at Texas Tech University and Medpace, where he gained valuable expertise in clinical research processes and evidence-based practice. His professional interests include vascular, metabolic, and muscle physiology, as well as expanding opportunities for students through internships, research involvement, and hands-on experiences. He teaches various Kinesiology classes at Azusa Pacific University, listed below, and takes pride in serving others through education and mentorship while strengthening opportunities for student success through teaching and research.
