Program Director and Assistant Professor, Department of Marriage and Family Therapy

Meghan Williams, MA, LMFT, has had the privilege of teaching at APU since 2015 and sees her role in leadership first and foremost as a mentor. She seeks to model safety and acceptance in her relationships with her students as they journey to become therapists themselves. Meghan believes deeply that our life experiences are unique, valuable, and formative to who we are. With this conviction in mind, she views the learning process as a chance to walk alongside her students to provide insight, clarity, and tools for growth. Meghan is passionate about helping MFT students engage in this process with their own clients, while first moving toward healing and wholeness themselves. In her clinical work, Meghan has experience working with kids, adolescents, individuals and couples. She is excited to help others creatively learn topics such as marital engagement and growth, child and parent attachment relationships and ways to understand brain development across the lifespan. Meghan is committed to honoring each individual's learning process and is grateful for the chance to do so in her work.
