Nancy Brashear, PhD, began her 30-year education career as a K–12 teacher in public schools, then taught college English courses for five years prior to entering the field of teacher education, and served as a CCTC, ACSI, and WASC accreditation team member. She has a special interest in literacy development for all ages, literacy and language development for second-language learners, children’s and adolescent literature, creative writing, and teacher education.
