Ronald Building, First FloorDear APU Students and Alumni,
The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s premier scholarship program. Each year, Fulbright scholarships enable more than 1,900 U.S. students, artists, and other professionals to benefit from unique resources in more than 140 countries.
The U.S. Student Program gives recent BS/BA graduates, master’s and doctoral candidates, and young professionals and artists opportunities for personal development and international experience. Fulbright grants support teaching English in one of more than three dozen countries, or conducting research and study abroad. For the latter, grantees plan their own programs. Projects may include university course work, independent library or field research, classes in a music conservatory or art school, special projects in the social or life sciences, or a combination of these activities.
I hope that the other pages on this site will give you the information you need to begin planning your Fulbright Study Abroad program. We also offer regular information sessions and additional support to assist you in compiling a strong grant application. Please feel free to contact me at mwong@apu.edu.
Sincerely,
Mary Wong, PhD
