The Department of Kinesiology prepares students for a variety of careers in rehabilitation, fitness and exercise, wellness, education, and more. Our degree programs offer students practical learning experiences that complement classroom instruction, led by professional and passionate faculty. Students graduate prepared to restore and empower others on their wellness journey.
The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with concentrations in Health Professions, Applied Exercise Science, and an accelerated entry Doctor of Physical Therapy pathway.
Graduate programs include a Master of Science in Physical Education (available online, and with an optional sport management emphasis), an MA in Physical Education with Single Subject Teaching Credential or with an Added Authorization in Adapted Physical Education, and an authorization-only program.
Other department programs include an undergraduate minor in adapted physical activity, and a physical education concentration within the liberal studies major.

Our mission in the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology is to shape difference makers who care for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. We believe exercise, movement, and sport help people thrive by improving health, fitness, and quality of life across the lifespan. To achieve our goals, we equip lifelong learners who are academically engaged, relationally focused, vocationally aware, and wellness oriented using approaches that are discipline-based and grounded within a Christian worldview.
