Mary Hill Center, Room 121The Honors College and Diana Glyer, PhD, present the Clay in the Potter’s Hands devotional video series. In this multipart video series, Glyer shares the process clay must go through in order to become pottery. As she works, she explores how we, like clay, are shaped and molded by a good and loving God.
As Glyer explains in her book Clay In the Potter’s Hands (Lindale & Associates, 2020): “God began it. God will complete it. It’s not supposed to be on my to-do list. It’s already on His. Shalom is the peaceful fruit of God’s initiative, God’s labor, God’s faithfulness, and not my own. That wobbly, bumpy, misshapen lump of clay rests under the skill of the potter’s hands, and as a result, it becomes smooth, solid, and centered. And so it is with my soul” (p. 29).
We hope your reflections on the process clay undergoes will speak to you during your transition into the Honors College at Azusa Pacific University.
