At APU, we’re passionate about sustainability and its impact on clean air. Each year,
we partner with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (“SCAQMD”) by engaging
our employees in an annual AQMD Commute Survey.
The purpose of the survey is to measure the effectiveness of the university’s efforts
to reduce the number of single-occupancy vehicle trips and attain a 1.5 average vehicle
ridership (AVR) to improve air quality in Southern California. The survey keeps the
campus in compliance with Rule 2202 of the South Coast Air Quality Management District
and tracks how employees travel to campus over a five-day (Monday through Friday)
period.
If you have any questions or comments about the survey, contact the Office of Human
Resources. For information on APU’s Rideshare program, visit the Ridesharepage.
