APU Hosts Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremonies

Approximately 1,127 students will graduate from Azusa Pacific University on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the university’s spring commencement ceremonies. These graduates will earn a total of 1,144 degrees, including 555 bachelor’s, 478 master’s, and 60 doctoral degrees. Ceremonies include:
Saturday, May 3
- 9:30 a.m.: Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony
- 2:30 p.m.: Graduate Commencement Ceremony
Ceremonies take place in APU’s Felix Event Center, located on West Campus, at 701 E. Foothill Blvd., in Azusa. Each commencement ceremony will be livestreamed through apu.edu/live with closed captioning available via APU Facebook Live.
The commencement speaker for both ceremonies is Marcus “Goodie” Goodloe, PhD. A Compton native, Goodloe is a renowned leadership development professional. He mentors students and educators, business professionals, athletes and entertainers, and faith communities across the country on issues from cultural and interpersonal relationships to leadership, character formation, and faith. Goodloe is on the pastoral care team of Flourishing Church in Los Angeles, and serves as one of the church’s elders. Goodloe has worked with NCAA teams at universities across the country, as well as Fellowship of Christian Athletes programs at state and national levels, and professional football teams from the United States Football League and the National Football League. Goodloe is the author of three books: KingMaker: Applying Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Leadership Lessons in Working with Athletes and Entertainers, Habits: Six Steps to the Art of Influence, and The Next Level: Growing with God… in His Word, Your Walk, and Your Worship. Goodloe and his wife of 26 years, Lucy, have two adult children.
