Azusa Pacific University Provost Anita Fitzgerald Henck, PhD, has named Azusa resident Enoch Hsu, PhD, the Leung Endowed Chair for Ethics in Auditing and Accounting in the School of Business and Management's L.P. and Timothy Leung School of Accounting, effective July 1, 2026. An economist with more than two decades of global business leadership experience, including senior management and partnership roles with three of the “Big Four” accounting firms, Hsu brings international consulting expertise, cross-cultural operational strategies, and deep faith-integrated scholarship to the role.
“It is a privilege to select Dr. Hsu to fill the Leung Endowed Chair for Ethics in Auditing and Accounting, only the second person to hold this esteemed position,” Henck said. “Dr. Hsu’s significant professional pedigree, coupled with his deep commitment to ethical practices, rooted in his Christian faith, will bring considerable strengths to the role, the School of Business and Management, and Azusa Pacific University. We welcome and celebrate his addition to our faculty and his future influence with industry partners.”
As the endowed chair, Hsu will foster intellectual and ethical leadership in research, teaching, and community outreach to deepen understanding of ethical business practices, accountability, and transparency in auditing and accounting. Working alongside the chair of the Leung School of Accounting and in collaboration with the dean of the School of Business and Management, Hsu will lead active research projects, teach undergraduate courses, and host internal and external-facing lectures and symposia. Hsu’s research and outreach initiatives will center on accounting ethics, financial statement transparency, fraud prevention, and moral stewardship across public and private sectors. Furthermore, Hsu is tasked with driving program-building initiatives to expand interest in APU’s undergraduate accounting programs. He will engage students through experiential learning, cultivate collaborative public-sector and corporate partnerships, and utilize communication platforms to disseminate scholarship on ethical business practices to a broader audience.

I am committed to walking alongside students as they grow in academic excellence, spiritual maturity, and professional confidence,” Hsu said. “Drawing on my leadership experience at Big Four firms and in global consulting, I am committed to helping students build their technical skills, apply academic knowledge in the marketplace, and establish ethical judgment in the commercial world.”
Prior to joining APU, Hsu served in academic leadership and faculty roles at Providence Christian College and Biola University’s Crowell School of Business, where he directed postgraduate career success initiatives, chaired faculty development committees, and taught courses that connect classical economics with biblical stewardship. His distinguished corporate career spans more than 23 years in international tax and advisory practice leadership, including serving as transfer pricing senior advisor at BDO Tax Limited, Hong Kong, transfer pricing managing director at BDO USA, transfer pricing partner at Ernst & Young, transfer pricing director at Deloitte, and transfer pricing senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Throughout his executive career, he advised multinational enterprises on multi-billion-dollar cross-border transactions, authored numerous scholarly articles on transfer pricing and business ethics, and presented to hundreds of corporate executives and government officials across the Asia-Pacific region and North America.
Hsu earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Claremont Graduate University, a Master of Divinity in Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from California State University, Long Beach.
The L.P. and Timothy Leung School of Accounting was established in 2012 in APU’s School of Business and Management following a generous $8.2 million gift from APU alumnus L.P. Leung. The endowment provides essential resources to expand the accounting program’s emphasis on strong academics, practical training, and Christian ethics, which included funding the establishment of the Leung Endowed Chair for Ethics in Auditing and Accounting.
