Individual Development and Educational Assessment (IDEA) is the university's mechanism
for soliciting student feedback about their learning experience.
The IDEA Student Ratings of Instruction (SRI) translates student feedback about their
courses into actionable steps to improve student learning. The IDEA survey’s chief
indicator of teaching effectiveness is how well students rate their progress on the
types of learning that faculty target.
Students submit feedback on teaching and learning based on their direct course experience,
providing faculty with relevant information, that when coupled with IDEA’s resources,
support, guide, and strengthen teaching.
